Dental Utensils Do Toothpicks Affect Your Dental Health?

Do toothpicks affect your dental health? - dental utensils

My mother will not let me go to the dentist because she believes that the tools that use it to my oral hygiene are dangerous. Now they will think, remain the same. Can you help me to speak my mother to say that is not going to the dentist legitimate?

I was a dental assistant during the last 4 years. Each instrument will be used, including all surfaces are sterile. All instruments are getting rid of in an autoclave for 30 minutes at high pressure and temperature in the position, all bacteria and viruses in them. All surfaces, including counters and chairs are disinfected with a hospital or two years, wipes or sprays. Absolutely no need to worry about the hygiene of the device if it is a factor.
I agree with your mother, that a toothpick can be detrimental to your oral hygiene, especially the type of wood, because they can burst to the gums and cause infection. Moreover, one could go too far in this line gingiva (gums and teeth were found), which opened a box and place it on an infection. However, as the instruments themselves, they are safe. In its shape and type of instruments, they leave the plaque and calculus than ordinary toothbrushes can not or do not Listerine. It also helps to increase blood flow in the region to promote the growth of healthy tissue.Hope this helps, Heather

Just go anyway, not your mother. Dental devices are not dangerous.

My father had no dental insurance, so I never went to the dentist until I adults. I had cavities locating ring years ago and did not know I'd have 3 root canals and fillings, and only 26 years more. To go to the dentist before it is too late. :)

Do not go to the dentist is bad for dental hygiene. Hygienists are, what they can do so that they know how to use their instruments. There are certain things that you are not thoroughly cleaned, as you should see your dental hygienist for proper cleaning.
